Here goes the connect: Its Bernie Ecclestone
Bernie Ecclestone representing the group called FOCA ,it was who met with the rival FISA at Place de la Concorde in Paris to sign the first Concorde agreement which dictates the terms by which the teams compete in races and take their share of the television revenues and prize money.
Bernie started his F1 career by acquiring The F1 Connaught Team in 1958.
In early 2004 he sold one of his London residences (Kensington Palace Gardens), never having lived in it, to steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal for £57.1 million, making it the most expensive house ever sold.
Bernie currently owns 80% of the Queen's Park Rangers' shares.
